Nora Bell White

Nora Bell White, 97, of Lewisburg passed away Thursday, February 1, 2018 at her residence.  She was born in Butler County, Ky. on February 25, 1920 to the late William Henry Jackson "Billie"  and Bessie Marie Sumnor White. She was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and lived in the Silver City neighborhood for many years. Nora worked several years at Kane's, helped out on the farm and took care of her parents while they were living. She loved to stay busy quilting, sewing and working outside in her flowers.  She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters Hazel White McKinney and her husband Roy, Eva White Montsinger and her husband Byron; nephews Gaile Lee McKinney and Earl White; nieces Janice Montsinger, Pearl White Proctor, Ruth Proctor and Gertie Kirby; two brothers Leslie White and Arville White.

 

Nora is survived by her two nieces Linda Montsinger McGuggin of Knoxville, Tn., Betty White Stevens of Michigan; great nephew Scott McGuggin of Knoxville ; two nephews Carl White of Evansville In. and Junior White of Penrod;  special cousin Marie Andrews Rayhill and husband James of Louisville, cousin Pearl Andrews of Indiana; cousin Alice Andrews Forbes of Morgantown; host of great nieces, nephews, cousins and friends and a special cousin Margie Dean Andrews Givens.

 

Funeral Service will be held at Smith Funeral Home on Monday, February 5, 2018 at 11am with Bro. Murl Gray and Bro. Jimmy McIntosh officiating.  Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 4, 2018 from 3:00-8:00 pm and Monday 8am until time of service at Smith Funeral Home, Morgantown, Ky.
