Nokie Kirby Burden, 93 of Morgantown, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, November 9, 2013 at the Morgantown Care and Rehab. Nokie was born January 23, 1920 in Butler County, Kentucky to the late Till D. and Mamie Beliles. She was a member of the Morgantown First Baptist Church and a homemaker. She was preceded in death by husbands Henry Clay Kirby and Edgar Burden; 4 sons Willie, Ross Ed, Cooney and Henry Kirby; 1 daughter Peggy Jane Kirby; 2 grandsons Wallace and Eddie Dean Kirby and 2 granddaughters Kelly Faye Kirby and Tara Kirby.
Nokie Kirby Burden is survived by  son Throney Clay Kirby and wife Kaye of Morgantown; grandsons Ricky, Chris wife Beth, James Till, Keith, C.J., Allen and Jacob Kirby; 2 granddaughters Tammy Dempesy and Sarah Kirby; great grandchildren Jonathon, Joey, Auston, Duston and Daylon Kirby and several other great grandchildren; several great great grandchildren; 5 step children Ricky, Teresa, Loretta, Sherlene and Shannon; several step grandchildren; step great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel Monday, November 11, 2013 at 1:00pm with Bro. Greg Wallace officiating. Burial will be in the Sandy Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, November 10, 2013 from 5:00pm - 8:00pm and Monday 8:00am until funeral time at the Jones Funeral Chapel.
