Nina W. Woosley, 93, of Caneyville, passed away Wednesday, May 4th, 2016 at Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center. 

She was born on Tuesday, July 4th, 1922 in Grayson County, the daughter of the late Allie and Ida (Minton) Woosley. She was a lifetime member of the Caneyville Cumberland Presbyterian Church and was baptized in 1952. Nina and her late husband owned and operated the A.T. Woosley General Store in Caneyville from the 1930’s until 1976. She loved visiting with people and receiving cards. She enjoyed working in the yard and reading.

Nina is survived by her sister, Elnora Embry of Morgantown; a brother/nephew, Harl “D” Woosley of Caneyville; her caregivers, Sheron Jones of Leitchfield, Cindy Hewitt of Clarkson, Sherry Singleton also of Clarkson and Mindy Kiper of Leitchfield and several nieces and nephews. Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Archie T. Woosley; six brothers, James Woosley, David Woosley, Harlan Woosley, Roger Woosley, Paul Woosley and Barney Woosley and two sisters, Dorothy Woosley and Aileen Stewart.

Funeral services will be Sunday, May 8th at 1:00 pm at the Dermitt-Joyce Funeral Home in Caneyville. Bro Steven Smith and Bro Gary Woosley will be officiating. Burial will be in the Caneyville Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Dermitt-Joyce Funeral Home in Caneyville Saturday after 2:00 pm and Sunday from 9:00 am until time of service.
