Nina Mae Johnson West, 84, of Morgantown, Ky. passed away on Monday, February 11, 2019 at her residence.  She was born in Butler Co., Ky.  on August 2, 1934 to the late Casey Camble and Ruby Mae Painter Johnson.  Nina was a homemaker and loved to garden and raise flowers. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband William “Bill” Lloyd West; brothers Carl Kimble Johnson, David Leon Johnson;  sister Alice Faye Johnson Baker;  grandson William “Billy” Dale West; great granddaughter Livia Winter Gray.

Nina  is survived by sons Michael Lloyd West and Kevin Dale West both of Morgantown; grandchildren Kimberly Machell West Ballard of Louisville, Ky., Kyla Marie West Dockery (Shawn) of Morgantown, Crystal Gail West Page (Andrew) of Bowling Green; great grandchildren Zachary Reed Miles (Darby) of Shepherdsville, Ky. Carlee Morgan Ballard of Louisville, Ky., Chloe Jewele Dockery and Cardyn Kwynn Dockery both of Morgantown, Carson Kennedy Page of Bowling Green; great great grandchildren Fox Raynor Miles and Axel Frederick Miles both of Shepherdsville, Ky.; brother Bobbie Dale Johnson (Linda) of Morgantown;  sister Iris Gail Johnson Barks of Morgantown; several nieces and nephews.  

Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at 2pm at Smith Funeral Home with Bro. Geoffrey Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the Cook Cemetery. Visitation will begin Tuesday from 4pm until 8pm and Wednesday 8am until time of service at Smith Funeral Home, Morgantown, Ky.
