Nicholas Won (NW) Johnson, 87 of Morgantown, Kentucky passed away on Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at Greenview Hospital in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Nicholas was born on Monday, February 12, 1934 in Butler County, KY to the late Cleatus and Lottie Johnson. Nicholas loved the Lord and serving him as a Deacon, Trustee and Member of Temple Hill General Baptist Church. He retired from Nugent Sand Company in Louisville, KY as a tow boat captain. He enjoyed traveling, and spending time with his family and friends. Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter, Rita (Joe) Newton and his son, Cleatus Johnson. In addition, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Leslie Johnson, H.C. (Myrl) Johnson, and J.N. Johnson, along with his sisters, Dimple (Odell) Elmore and Catherine (Wid) Mason.

Nicholas Won Johnson is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Rosa Johnson; two sons, Terry (Linda) Johnson and Andy Johnson along with one daughter, Cheryl (Donald) Burden all of Morgantown, KY. He had 17 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren, along with several special nieces and nephews.

A Private Graveside service will be held at Satterfield Cemetery in Jetson, KY. Smith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
