Nelson Wayne Brown

Nelson Wayne Brown, more affectionately known as Wayne, departed this world on July 16, 2024, at his cherished home in Huntsville, KY. Born in Detroit, MI, on February 11, 1951, Wayne's lifetime spanned 73 years filled with love, passion, and joyous moments shared with family and friends.

Wayne leaves behind a legacy of kindness and a family that cherished every moment spent with him. He is survived by his devoted wife of 13 years, Deniese Brown of Huntsville, KY, and his loving children: Davina Propes of Bowling Green, KY, Katherine Majoros and her husband John of Bowling Green, KY, and Julie Brown of Manchester, TN. His three step-children, Jessie Dakota Burden (Faith Sorrels) of Morgantown, KY, Roben Warner and her husband Russell of Morgantown, KY, and Rebecca Burden of Huntsville, KY, also hold dear memories of Wayne. His sister, Nancy Cox and her husband Randall of Morgantown, KY, alongside his adoring grandsons Joel Kirby of Bowling Green, KY, and Willow, Piper, and Augie Warner, all of Morgantown, KY, remember him fondly. Several nieces and nephews add to the list of those who will miss Wayne's gentle nature. Preceding him in death were his loving parents, George Estill and Gustava Nadeen Givens Brown, and his treasured grandson, Colter Cole.

An established worker, Wayne dedicated many years of service to Goodyear before retiring from Corvac Composites in Morgantown, KY. His colleagues there and at various associations he was a part of will remember his strong work ethic and his willingness to lend a helping hand.

Wayne was a man of simple pleasures. Fishing lines cast at dawn, the subtle challenge of online games, and the laughter of his grandchildren around him were the joys that enriched his life. Described by those who knew him as loving, gentle, and passionate, Wayne found happiness in life's quiet moments, especially those spent with his family.
