Nelma V. Johnson, 86 of Morgantown, passed away Wednesday, August 8, 2012 at her residence in Morgantown. Nelma was born September 16, 1925 in Butler County to the late Jesse and Laura Bryant Cox and she was the wife of the late Oval Johnson; they married May 8, 1943. She was a member of Christian Home Church of Christ and a homemaker. She was preceded in death by 2 sisters Margie Shepherd and Kathleen Johnson and one brother J.W. Cox.

Nelma V. Johnson is survived by one daughter Sandra Johnson Neighbors husband Kenneth of Morgantown; 2 sons Jerry Johnson of Morgantown and Billy Johnson wife Juileen of Morgantown; grandsons Timmy Johnson wife Janet of Morgantown, and Jeff Johnson wife Angela of Morgantown; great granddaughter Brittany Johnson of Morgantown; great-grandson Brent Johnson of Morgantown; sister in law Elsie Cox of Morgantown, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel Saturday August 11, 2012 at 11:00am with Bro. Miles Tomes officiating. Burial will be in the Brooklyn Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday, August 10, 2012 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm and Saturday from 8:00 am until funeral time at 11:00am at the Jones Funeral Chapel.
