Nancy Franzell Gidcumb, age 86, of Morgantown, Ky. passed away on Monday, Aug. 8, 2022 at the Signature Health Care of Hartford. She was born in Morgantown, Ky. on Dec. 14, 1935 to the late Beckham and Nellie Moore Franzell. Nancy was a member of Carve Rock Baptist Church and a homemaker. Nancy loved to quilt, color, work in her flowers and spending time with her family. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Lenis Gidcumb; brothers Beckham Franzell Jr. and Bobby Franzell; sister Mae Lou Daugherty.

Nancy is survived by her children Linda Gidcumb Morse (Chris) of Hartford and Ronnie Gidcumb (Irina) of Morgantown; grandchildren Jason Graham (Dwan), Kyle Graham (Leeah), Kellen Gidcumb (Erica) and Lance Gidcumb (Courtney); step grandchildren Efrain and Sergio Rada; 12 great grandchildren; brother Charlie Franzell (Darlene); sister Elizabeth Barks; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, Aug. 11, 2022 at 2pm at Smith Funeral Home with Bro. Joseph Henderson officiating. Burial will be held in the Hill Haven Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 10 from 4pm-8pm and Thursday from 8am-2pm at Smith Funeral Home.
