Mona Geraldine "Jerri" Young, 78 of Bowling Green died Tuesday, October 8, 2013, at her residence. Mrs. Young was a native of Butler County, Sugar Grove Community. She was born April 30, 1935, the daughter of the late Chester Franklin Beller and Ethel Mae Borders Beller. She was preceded in death by her husband Joe Wellington Young and four brothers, Donald Laman Beller, Garland Franklin Beller, Bobby Neal Beller, and Carl Douglas Beller. Mrs. Young was a graduate of Butler County High School. A thirty year employee of Bell South holding numerous positions and retired from the frame at Bell South. She was a member of Broadway United Methodist Church, the Broadway Methodist Sojourners small group, and the Bell South Pioneers. Funeral Services will be 2:00 on Friday at Johnson-Vaughn-Phelps Funeral Home with burial in Bowling Green Gardens. Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm and on Friday from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. Mrs. Young is survived by one son, Joe Stephen Young and his wife Roseanna of Bowling Green, and two grandchildren Stephen Coty Young and Tiffany Ann Young both of Bowling Green.
