Mildred Johnson Romans, 87 of Morgantown, Kentucky passed away Monday February 8, 2021 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, KY. Mildred was born on Monday September 25, 1933 in Butler County, Kentucky to the late Hershel and Edythe Dockery Kessinger and wife of the late Alva Johnson Jr. and Wavie Romans. She was a member of Aberdeen Missionary Baptist Church and owner and operator of Red Johnson Grocery Store. Mildred loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Other than her parents and husbands she is preceded in death by one sister Joyce DeWeese; one son in law Verlon Oaks and one sister in law Bernice Kessinger.

Mildred Johnson Romans is survived by her daughter Karen Oaks of Aberdeen, KY; two grandchildren Jamie Oaks (Michaela) of Bowling Green, KY and Amie Oaks of Aberdeen, KY; six great grandchildren Marley, Brantley, Jennifer, Britney, McKenna and Ryleigh; one sister Peggy Neighbors (Eddie) of Aberdeen, KY; one brother Charlie Kessinger of Bloomington, Indiana and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel Friday February 12, 2021 at 1:00pm with Bro. Brian Jones officiating. Burial will be held in the Aberdeen Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday February 12, 2021 from 10:30 am until funeral time at 1:00pm at the Jones Funeral Chapel.
