Michael Ray Hunt, 52 of Morgantown, Ky. passed away Thursday, January 19, 2017, at the Hospice House of Southern Ky., after a long battle with COPD. Michael was born February 20, 1964, in Leitchfield Kentucky to Donald Hunt and the late Charlotte Lindsey and grandson of the late Veachel and Delia Hunt and the late Ray and Lillian Cardwell who survives. He was of the Baptist faith, worked as a dry wall hanger most of his life and proudly served in the United States Army. He is preceded in death by one daughter Charlotte Hunt and one brother Timmy Porter.

Michael is survived by his loving wife of 26 years Ella Sue Johnson Hunt; three sons Michael (Tarah), Trenton and Trevon all of Morgantown, Ky.; two sisters Lisa Nicewinter (Bub) of Morgantown, Ky. and Laura Oliver (David) of Bowling Green, Ky.;brother Timmy Hunt (Shelley) of Beaver Dam, Ky., father Donald Hunt (Judy) of Morgantown, Ky.; grandmother Lillian Cardwell and six other brothers Dennis Hunt (Lisa), Joey Porter, Chuck Porter (Gina), Jimmy Gaskey, Scott Gaskey and Donald Hunt, and grandchildren Lillian, Erica, Aaron, and Ryker, and  several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Michael's life will be held at the Butler County Educational Complex 799 Veterans Way Morgantown, Ky. 42261 from 1:00pm - 5:00pm Saturday, January 21, 2017.
