Michael Odel Embry

Michael Odel Embry, born on July 7, 1963, in Bowling Green, Kentucky, passed away on May 25, 2026, at Signature Healthcare of Monroe in Tompkinsville, Kentucky. He lived a life marked by hard work, devotion to family, faith, and the simple joys that made each day meaningful to him.

Michael was the son of the late Mary Lee Warren Embry and was also preceded in death by his grandparents, Marvin and Palma Warren, and his twin brother Marvin Dale Embry and his brother, Gregory L. Embry.

 

He is survived by his sons, Brandon Wayne Embry of Morgantown, Kentucky, and Adam Odell Embry of Owensboro, Kentucky. He also leaves behind one granddaughter, along with his aunts, Celia Drake of Morgantown, Kentucky, and Jolene Johnson and her husband Les of Beaver Dam, Kentucky. In addition, he is survived by several cousins and a host of friends.

 

Michael was a member of Warren's Mill Church of Christ, he was also retired from Ingram Boat Company, where he worked making barges. In his free time, Michael enjoyed fishing, riding horses, and cheering for UK Basketball. These interests brought him happiness and gave him opportunities to enjoy the outdoors, the company of others, and the excitement of the game.

 

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date with burial in the Warrens Mill Cemetery in Gilstrap, KY. Arrangements are under the direction of the Jones Funeral Chapel.
