Michael C. Romans, age 70, of Morgantown, KY, passed away on Thursday, April 30, 2026 at his residence. He was born on Aug. 19, 1955 in Morgantown, KY. Michael retired from the KY Dept. of Transportation and was a member of Chapel Union Missionary Baptist Church. He enjoyed working outdoors. He was preceded in death by his parents Willard P. and Kathleen Dunn Romans; brothers David Romans and Willard “Teddy” P. Romans Jr.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Sheena Phelps Romans; nieces Cheryl and Michelle; nephews Caven and James (Betsy); sister-in-law Shirley Romans and brother-in-law Dan Phelps.

Funeral Service will be held on Monday, May 4, 2026 at 2:00pm at Smith Funeral Home with Bro. Robert Bailey officiating. Burial will follow in the Morgan Smith Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Smith Funeral Home on Monday, May 4 from 10:00am until 2:00pm.
