Melvin J. Beasley, 64 of Morgantown, Ky. passed away Saturday November 1, 2014 at his residence. Melvin was born September 26, 1950 in Butler County Kentucky to the late Raymond and Lonie Burden Beasley. He was a member of Oak Ridge General Baptist Church, retired coon hunter and a avid UK basketball fan. He is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers Jerry and Jeff Beasley.
Melvin J. Beasley is survived by his wife Brenda Frank Beasley of Morgantown, Ky.; two sons Randy Beasley wife Donnitta of Morgantown, Ky. and Dustin Beasley wife Hannah of Woodbury, Ky.; one daughter Alecia Lucas husband Adam of Caneyville, Ky.; six grandchildren Jacob, Noah, Kailie and Emily Beasley, Liam Beasley and Luci Lucas; three sisters Nina Mason husband Donald of Morgantown, Ky., Kaye Givens husband Timmy of Quality, Ky. and Rita Jenkins husband Mike of Quality, Ky.; four brothers Larry Beasley wife Peggy of Horse Branch, Ky., Roger Beasley of Morgantown, Ky., Jimmy Beasley wife Becky of Morgantown, Ky. and Kenny Beasley wife Tammy of Morgantown, Ky. and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel Tuesday November 4, 2014 at 1:00pm with Bro. Randy Beasley and Bro. Jon Mason officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Ridge Cemetery. Visitation Monday November 3, 2014 from 11:00am - 8:00pm and Tuesday 8:00am until funeral time at 1:00pm at the Jones Funeral Chapel.
