 Maxine Wood, 80 of Morgantown, Ky. passed away Tuesday, October 11, 2016, at the Morgantown Care & Rehab. Maxine was born August 11, 1936, in Butler County Kentucky to the late Clyde Clifton and Nina Berry Hunt and wife of the late Willard Arnold Wood. She was a member of Morgantown Methodist Church and Methodist Women. She was a retired kindergarten instructional aid. Other than her parents and husband she is preceded in death by two sisters Christine Plantz and Janice Phelps.
 Maxine Wood is survived by three sons Steve Flener (Karen) of Cadiz, Ky., Tony Flener (Sheila) of Morgantown, Ky. and Rick Wood (Sheila) of Titusville, FL; two daughters Val Rosenthan of Palm Desert, CA and Suzanne Wood of Morgantown, Ky.; eight grandchildren Jessica Shephard (David) of Hopkinsville, Ky., Elizabeth Turner (Adam) of Louisa, Ky., Bennie Neal (Cricket) of Morgantown, Ky.,Lyndsay Cassidy (Chad) of Vallonia, IN Aimee Shabaan (Andreas) of Louisville, Ky., Samuel Flener of Euclid, OH, Jessica Wells (DJ) of Palm Desert, CA and Kaira Beach of Palm Desert, CA; one sister Phyllis Hunt Moore of Bowling Green Ky. and several nieces and nephews.
 Funeral services will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel Friday, October 14, 2016 at 3:00pm with Bro. Randy Nelson officiating.

Burial will be in the Belmont Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 13, 2016 from 4:30pm - 8:00pm and Friday 8:00am until funeral time at 3:00pm at the Jones Funeral Chapel.
