Maxine Cardwell

Maxine Cardwell, 88 of Roundhill, Ky. passed away Sunday, May 28, 2017, at the Morgantown Care & Rehab. Maxine was born October 12, 1928, in Butler County Kentucky to the late B.R. & Dovie Lindsey Childress and wife of the late Tildon "T" Cardwell. She was a member of Walnut Grove Missionary Baptist Church and a farmer and housewife. Other than her parents and husband she is preceded in death by one son Tildon Cardwell Jr., two daughters Sarah & Sally Cardwell and one brother Buster Childress.

Maxine Cardwell is survived by three daughters Betty Westerfield (Gerald) of Cromwell, Ky., Jean Ray of Roundhill, Ky and Melissa Mills (Gary) of Roundhill, Ky.; three sons James Cardwell (Judi) of Roundhill, Ky., Johnny Cardwell of Roundhill, Ky. and Ron Cardwell of Roundhill, KY.;8 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren; three sisters Effie Mae Bratcher of Roundhill, Ky., Betty Lou Casey of Morgantown, Ky. and Beatrice Casey of Morgantown, Ky.; and two brothers Harold and Alton Childress of Morgantown, Ky.

Funeral services will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel Thursday, June 1, 2017, at 1:00 pm with Bro. Ron Metheny officiating.
Burial will be in the Threlkel Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 31, 2017, from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm and Thursday 8:00 am until funeral time at 1:00 pm at the Jones Funeral Chapel.
