Mavis Lee Caudill
Mavis Lee Caudill, 84, of Bowling Green, Kentucky, passed away on June 23, 2026. She was born on September 5, 1941, in Butler County, Kentucky, and lived a life marked by love, kindness, and devotion to the people who meant the most to her.
Mavis was a loving, friendly, and selfless woman who touched the lives of many through her warm spirit and steady presence. She enjoyed working and took pride in staying active and engaged throughout her life. Above all, she cherished time spent with her family and friends, and those moments brought her great joy and comfort. She was a member of Highland Baptist Church. Mavis found happiness in simple pleasures and treasured the memories made while attending concerts in the park and visiting Daytona Beach.
Mavis was preceded in death by her parents, J.C. and Ola Beliles Givens; her two daughters, Wilma Wood and Martha Givens; her son, Randy Wilson; her two grandsons, Justin Hammer and Zack Wilson; her sister, Avel Carroll and her husband G.H.; her brothers, Watson Givens, Harlan Givens and his wife WilloDean, K.C. Givens, and Thomas Givens; and her brother-in-law, Darrell Long. Though her family grieves her passing, they take comfort in the many memories they shared with her and in the lasting example of love she leaves behind.
She is survived by her daughter, Deborah Roddy and her husband Ronald of Bowling Green, Kentucky; her grandchildren, Austin Lindsey and his wife Christina, Zeek Wilson, Joey Faine, Katie Wilson, Braxton Lloyd, Jamye Barlow, Jennifer Cox, Ronald Roddy and his wife Jennifer, Michael Roddy, Anna Roddy, and Marlon Roddy; 24 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren; her sister, Ellen Long of Bowling Green, Kentucky; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel Monday, June 29, 2026 at 1:00pm with Bro. Chris Daniels officiating. Burial will be in the Union Cemetery where Tyler Yates, Winston Woosley, Chris Cherry, Christian Barlow, Austin Lindsey, Joey Faine and Smokey Stanley will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 28, 2026 from 4:00pm - 8:00pm and Monday 8:00am until funeral time at 1:00pm at the Jones Funeral Chapel.
