Maudrie Odell Fleming Phelps

Maudrie Odell Fleming Phelps, 93, of Morgantown, Kentucky passed away Monday, February 6, 2017 at Morgantown Care & Rehab. Maudrie was born October 9, 1923 in Butler County, Kentucky to the late Frank Oren and Bernice Vaughn Fleming and she was the wife of the late Roy Franklin Phelps. She was a member of Palm View Baptist Church in Palmetto, Florida and was retired from the University of Wisconsin. Other than her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by one son, Ronald Phelps, and one brother-in-law, Denzel Mefford.

Maudrie Odell Fleming Phelps is survived by two daughters - Joyce Muchow (Jerry) of Huntsville, Ky. and Deb Cunningham (Steve) of Colleyville, Texas; daughter-in-law Candy Phelps of Evansville, Wisconsin; five grandchildren-Jini Spruce (Mark) of Friendswood, Texas; Jon Muchow (Mindy) of Columbia City, Indiana; Rhonda Fahey (Jim) of Evansville Wisconsin; Anathia Cunningham (Euaristo Hooper) of Colleyville, Texas; and Eric Cunningham of Colleyville, Texas; nine great grandchildren - Jordan Muchow of Columbia City, Indiana; Katie Fahey of Evansville, Wisconsin; Madison Muchow of Columbia City, Indiana; John Fahey of Evansville, Wisconsin; Blake and Amber Spruce of Friendswood, Texas; and Maximus and Penelope Hooper of Colleyville, Texas; and Paris Cunningham of Colleyville, Texas; two sisters - Anna Mefford of Bowling Green, Ky. and Erma Vanfleet (Frank) of Fairfax, Virginia; one brother - Jerry Fleming (Mary) of Huntsville, Ky; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel Thursday, February 9, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. with Bro. Larry Pritchard officiating. Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 8, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Thursday 11:00 a.m. until funeral time at 1:00 p.m. at the Jones Funeral Chapel.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 14, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. until funeral time at 1:00 p.m. at the Ward-Hurtley Funeral Home, 30 South 5th Street Evansville, Wisconsin 53536. Burial will be in the Maple Hill Cemetery.
