Mary Louise Sweatt Evans

Mary Louise Sweatt Evans , 81, of  Morgantown, Ky. passed away Wednesday, November 4,  2015 at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville.  She was born in Logan Co. on Feb. 16, 1934 to the late John and Vonia Cain Sweatt.   She was retired from the health care profession and was a Kentucky Colonel, a member of Mt. Liberty Church and member of  Dexterville Homemakers.  She loved watching the Cincinnati Reds and the UK Wildcats basketball.  She is preceded in death by her husband of 63 years Lewis Evans, parents John and Vonia Sweatt,  one grandson Michael McCoy, one great grand daughter Sarah Elizabeth Jones, three brothers, five sisters and one son in law, Lonnie Proctor.

She is survived by two sons, David (Kathy) Evans of Bowling Green and Donnie (Linda) Evans of  Morgantown; three daughters, Virginia Evans of Bowling Green, Norma Proctor (William) of Morgantown and Lisa Evans of Lawrenceburg; one brother, Bill (Loretta) Sweatt of Morgantown and one sister, Juanita Vance (Steve) of Bowling Green; seven grandchildren, Scotty (Dana) Proctor, Tiffiani (Jason) Jones and Derek Proctor all of Morgantown; Traci (JR) Duff, Tori (Chris) Gerbig and Clint Evans (Merritt) all of Bowling Green, Tamara (Jacob) Davis of Louisville; great grandchildren, Brandon, Brady and Maddie Jones, Austin, Autumn, Kaleigh, Jake and Evan Lewis Proctor all of Morgantown, Charley Grace and Trey Duff and Jackson and Rylee Gerbig all of Bowling Green, Jagger McCoy of Auburn; step grandson, Steve Alford;  great step grandchildren, Kierra Neighbors, Journey Alford, Jacoty Hope, Landon Forbes, Katelynn Alford (Brandon) of Bowling Green, Whitney (Philip) Baldwin of Adairville, step great great grandchildren, Braydon Dalton of Bowling Green, Hadley Baldwin of Adairville, expecting Layton Baldwin in December and several special nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral Service will be held at  Smith Funeral Home on Sunday, Nov. 8, 2015 at 2 pm.  Burial will be in the Mt. Liberty Cemetery.  Visitation will be held on Saturday, Nov. 7, 2015  from 3:00 pm-8:00 pm and Sunday 8:00 am until time of service at  Smith Funeral Home.
