Mary Lou Abbott McKinney, 84 of Morgantown, Ky. passed away Tuesday, May 10, 2016, at the Morgantown Care and Rehab. Mary Lou was born June 26, 1931, in Butler County Kentucky to the late Lester and Nora Hope Pruitt and wife of the late Avis "Red" Abbott. She was a member of Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church and a homemaker. Other than her parents and husband she is preceded in death by four brothers.
Mary Lou Abbott McKinney is survived by husband H.W. McKinney of Morgantown, Ky.; two sons Steve Abbott and wife Sue of Rochester, Ky. and Troy Abbott and wife Linda of Rochester, Ky.; two daughters Sherry Ponder of Salem, Indiana and Tammy Abbott of Morgantown, Ky.; 5 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel Friday, May 13, 2016, at 1:00 pm with Bro. Derek Cain officiating.
Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 13, 2016, from 9:30 am until funeral time at 1:00 pm a the Jones Funeral Chapel.
