Mary Kathleen Tynes, 85 of Caney Fork Rd., Lewisburg, Kentucky died on Saturday, December 10, 2016, at Creekwood Place in Russellville, Kentucky.

She was born Thursday, March 19, 1931,  the daughter of the late Ralph Tyree and the late Edith Warren  Tyree. She was the wife of the late Russell Tynes, Sr..

She was a homemaker and former employee of Caldwell Lace and Leather in Auburn, KY

She was a member of Bald Knob Cumberland Presbyterian Church, where she taught Sunday School for several years and was the Session Clerk.

Surviving are sons, Randy Tynes - (Gina) of Morgantown, KY and Russell "Rusty" Tynes, Jr. -(Amye) of Lewisburg, KY, daughter, Kathi Steenbergen-(Doug) of Lewisburg, KY, brother, Ralph Wayne Tyree of Burlington, NC, sister, Nadine Applin of Franklin, KY; 7 grand children; Cass Whitescarver of Russellville, KY, Tenile Lewis of Bowling Green, KY, Heather Johnson of Lewisburg, KY, Kelby Tynes of Nashville, TN, Casey Steenbergen of Russellville, KY, Clay Russell Tynes of Birmingham, AL, and Cole Tynes of Morgantown, KY 5 great grand children.

 She was also predeceased by daughter, Ginger Carole Tynes.

The funeral service will be at 12:00 PM on Tuesday at Bald Knob Cumberland Presbyterian Church located at 102 Bald Knob Church Rd. Russellville, Kentucky 42276 with Rev. Byron Dumas officiating. Interment will be in Smith Cemetery, Logan Co., KY.

The family will receive friends from 5:00PM - 8:00PM on Monday, December 12, 2016 at Price Funeral Home, 252 E. Green St., Lewisburg, KY 42256 and again from 10:00 AM until the funeral time  on Tuesday, December 13, 2016, at Bald Knob Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 102 Bald Knob Church Rd., Russellville, Kentucky.
