Mary Baize Wells

Mary Baize Wells, age 86 of Morgantown, KY passed away Monday, February 7, 2022 at Morgantown Care & Rehab. Mary was born on Friday, June 14, 1935 in Butler County, KY to the late Anthony T. and Beulah M. Elms Snodgrass and wife of the late Claude N. Baize Sr. and Lawrence D. Wells. She was a member of New Beginnings Ministry,  a retired CNA and a homemaker. Mary loved canning, cooking and feeding everyone, quilting and spending time with family and friends. Other than her parents and husbands she is preceded in  death by one daugther Rosalee Baize; one sister Brilla Snodgrass; one brother Eugene Snodgrass Sr.; one grandson Rick Nicholas Embry and five granddaughters Cody, Angel, Gabrielle and Amiranna Monroe and Angellica Good.

Mary Baize Wells is survived by six daughters Mary Jane Messimore of Owensboro, KY, Lucille Scanlan (Gary) of Owensboro,  KY, Beulena Calloway of Owensboro, KY, Kathy A. Dockery (Glendel) of Morgantown, KY, Tina Marie Harrison (Richard) of Missouri and Dana Michelle Good of Louisville, KY; one son Claude Baize Jr (Kathy) of Cromwell, KY; 19 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; three brothers Ernest Snodgrass (Ann) of Washington, Charles Snodgrass (Arlene) of Missouri and David Snodgrass (Nancy) of South Carolina; three sisters Joyce West of Guston, KY, Eva Miles (Ted) of Ohio and Ruth Willis (Harold) of South Carolina and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel Thursday, February 10, 2022 at 1:00pm with Bro. Glendel Dockery officiating. Burial will be in the Newton Cemetery where Buddy, Logan, Jacob, Ricky, Matthew and Sonny will serve as pallbearers and several honorary pallbearers. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 from 3:00pm - 8:00pm and Thursday 8:00am until funeral time at 1:00pm at the Jones Funeral Chapel.
