Marvin Ford Basham,

Marvin Ford Basham, 82, of Maceo, went to be with the Lord on April 30, 2015.  Marvin was born in Daviess County on October 7, 1932 to the late Iva and Hattie Lancaster Basham. He was a member of Maceo Baptist church, served in the US Army, and retired from Daviess County Sand and Gravel after more than 35 years. Marvin was also an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing.

In addition to his parents, Marvin was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Nettie Williams Basham;  son, Marvin Roy Basham; daughter, Carolyn Sue Basham; sisters, Mary Elizabeth “Libby” McCoy and Violet Morris; and brothers, James Roy “Burrhead” Basham and Kenneth Basham

Survivors include a son, William Basham (Sonia) of Maceo; a daughter, Margaret Ann Martin (Tim) of Morgantown; He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 22 grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service for Marvin will be held at 2:30 PM on Monday at Kelly Cemetery in Maceo. Visitation will be from 10 AM to 2PM on Monday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory.
