Marvene Cohron

Marvene Cohron, 92, of Bowling Green, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 30 at Greenwood Nursing Home and Rehab. The Rochester, KY native was the daughter of the late, Ellis and Hettie Wood Blaine. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Cohron was preceded in death by her husband, Carson Cohron; brothers, Lyle Blaine, Byron Blaine and Derlith Blaine.

Marvene was a member of Mars Hill Church of Christ. She was a graduate of Rochester High School and attended Bowling Green Business University. Mrs. Cohron moved to Louisville, where she continued to take business classes. Upon her return to Bowling Green, she was employed by Sears and Roebuck and later moved to Cutler-Hammer. Marvene later retired from Eaton Corporation after 40 plus years.

Mrs. Cohron is survived by two sons, Martin Glen Cohron and his wife, Rhonda and Van Carlton   Cohron and his wife, Laura; four grandchildren, Craig Cohron (Tina), Gabrielle Hunt (Matt), Katie Cambron (Aaron) and Sarah Cohron; three great grandchildren, Evan Hunt, Ian Hunt and Nathan Hunt; sister-in-law, Janet Blaine and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 5 at Johnson Vaughn Phelps Funeral Home with burial to follow at Tuck Cemetery in Butler County. Visitation will be on Friday, October 4 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Johnson Vaughn Phelps Funeral Home. Additional visitation on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

Memorial contributions may be made to Mars Hill Church of Christ Building Fund.
