I grew up knowing Martha and Jim Spradlin, they had a Hardware store up the street from my Dad's,and both were involved in this community to make it a better place to live, Martha playing the piano at First Baptist Church for many years was always such a blessing. The friendship that Martha and my Mom shared is a pleasant memory and her kindness she showed everyone Martha and Jim Spradlin were such great asset to Butler County. I thoughts and prayers are with Kim, Tim, their familes in their loss.
Thank you for your kind words Anita. It was nice seeing you at the funeral home. It was sad that our mothers couldn't enjoy each other at BGRV like they would have if they'd been a few years younger. I like to think that they are now enjoying their friendship again.
'Miss' Martha was a beautiful Christian lady. She was elegant and nice and very talented when she played the organ or piano at Morgantown First Baptist. Mrs. Spradlin and Mr. Jim Spradlin were examples for all of us in the community and church. My sympathy goes out to Charles Tim and Kim. Kathy Taylor
Thank you for your sweet words Kathy. I feel the same way about your mother being an example to me and others. Mrs. West had a wonderful disposition and a great sense of humor.
