Officer Mark A. Taulbee, 43, of Hodgenville, passed away Sunday, Sept. 16, 2012, at University Hospital in Louisville after an automobile accident while on duty.

He was a native of Whitesburg and Cecilia and was a member of the Hodgenville Police Department.
Mark was preceded in death by his mother, Clara (Sexton) Taulbee.

He is survived by his father, Manson Taulbee of Cecilia; one son, Mark Austin Taulbee of Morgantown; one daughter, Audra Beth Taulbee of Morgantown; one sister, Shelia Adams of Elizabethtown; and three brothers, Mason R. Taulbee of Cecilia, Bill W. Taulbee of Jeffersontown, Tenn., and Wayne Taulbee of Mount Sterling.

The funeral is at noon Friday, Sept. 21, at Hodgenville City Hall-Civic Center, 200 S. Lincoln Blvd., Hodgenville, KY 42748, with the Rev. Arnold Moon officiating. Burial will be in Taulbee Family Cemetery in Cecilia.

Visitation is from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday and continues from 9 a.m. to noon Friday at Hodgenville City Hall-Civic Center.
