Marilyn Jean Gill

Marilyn Jean Gill, 64 of Morgantown, Kentucky passed away Wednesday March 18, 2020 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, KY. Marilyn was born July 30, 1955 in Butler County, Kentucky to the late Willie Burr Gill and Bernice B. House Gill who survives. She was a member of Cool Springs General Baptist Church and attended Mt Vernon Missionary Baptist Church. Marilyn was a retired school bus driver for the Butler County Board Education and caregiver. She loved spending time with her family and friends but especially her grandsonTreston. Other than her father she is preceded in death by three brothers Charlie, Dale and Evertte Gill and two sister in laws Mary Lou Gill and Gracie Gill. 

Marilyn Jean Gill is survived by her son Brandon Johnson of Morgantown, KY; grandson Treston Johnson of Morgantown, KY; mother Bernice B. Gill of Morgantown, KY; five sisters Patricia Johnson of Morgantown, KY, Sue Stockton (Bill) of Huntsville, Ky, Carmen Gill of Cleburne, Texas, Kathy Whitaker (Barry) of Morgantown, KY and Phyllis Drake (Robert) of Morgantown, KY; two brothers George Gill of Morgantown, KY and Harold Gill (Alice) of Morgantown, KY; several nieces, nephews and numerous friends.

In light of the current health and safety risk the Gill family has requested that all visitation and funeral services be privately held at the Jones Funeral Chapel. Bro. The Gill family would like for everyone to know what a difficult decision this was to make but because of recent health concerns and to stay in compliance with the Governors recommendations, The Funeral Directors Association of Kentucky and The National Funeral Directors Association we decided this would be the best way to not only protect our family but to help protect this community. Also to stay in compliance with the above health concerns we will be closing our lounge and suspending coffee and food services until further notices.
