Marie P. Embry Crump, 91 of Morgantown, Kentucky passed away Tuesday, July 21, 2020 at her residence surrounded by family. Marie was born February 14, 1929 in Butler County, Kentucky to the union of Clark and Mabel Johnson Porter. She was a member of Morgantown First Methodist Church, Order of the Eastern Star, Butler County Homemakers and D.A.R.. Marie retired from Kellwood but during WWII she worked as a welder in the ship yards in Evansville, Indiana. She was a U.K. basketball fan, loved to travel and enjoyed participating in 5K road races. Other than her parents she is preceded in death by her husbands Chelsie Flener, Thurman Embry and Ray Crump; one son Royce Embry; one daughter Sharon McCoy; twin granddaughters Kimberly and Suzanne McCoy; one daughter in law Linda Embry; one son in law Barry Givens; two brothers Robert and Tommy Porter and three sisters Aleta Connor, Bonnie Romans and Joyce Hammers.

 Marie P. Embry Crump is survived by her daughter Shirley Embry Givens; son in law Andy McCoy; 8 grandchildren Parrish McCoy, Heather Tyree (Gerald), Jeremy Embry (Kris), Tracy Burden (Chris), Andrea Burkhalter (Ron), Jamie Givens (Paula), Amber Renfrow (Ben) and Luke Embry (April); 13 great grandchildren Sierra Hinton (Blake), Hannah Renfrow, Lauren Tyree, Austin Burden, Chelsey Renfrow, Katie Allen (Matthew), Taylor Burden, Connor McCoy, Erin Tyree, Jameson Findley, Clara Embry, Charli Kramer and Beau David Givens; first great great grandchild Rory James Hinton; one sister Marguerite Tuggle and two brothers Albert Porter (Linda) and Mike Porter (Kathy) and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel Saturday, July 25, 2020 at 11:00am with Chris Burden officiating. Burial will be held in the Walnut Grove Cemetery where Parrish McCoy, Jeremy Embry, Jamie Givens, Luke Embry, Austin Burden and Connor McCoy will be serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will include Jameson Findley and Beau David Givens. Visitation will be held on Friday July 24, 2020 from 4:00pm - 8:00pm and Saturday 8:00am until funeral time at 11:00am at the Jones Funeral Chapel.
