Mable Thompson Smith, 76 of Lewisburg, Ky. passed away Monday, February 27, 2017, at the Morgantown Care & Rehab. She was born November 16, 1940 in Rineyville, Kentucky to the late John and Hester Howell Thompson and wife of the late James H. Smith. Mable was a member of Morgantown Community Church and she retired from Sumitomo Electric. Other than her parents and husband she is preceded in death by four brothers Paul, Richard, J.O. and Dean Thompson and two sisters Rita Rolle and Sue Buckles.

Mable Thompson Smith is survived by two sons Jimmy Smith (Stephanie) of Louisville, Ky. and Doug Smith (Shelly) of North Carolina; three daughters Susan Simpson (Jimmy) of Bowling Green, Ky., Kelli Ewing (Danny) of Lewisburg, Ky. and Jana Tyree (Glendon) of Lewisburg, Ky.; one sister Gayle Siegel (Bob) of Upper Sandusky, Ohio; two brothers Bruce Thompson (Linda) of Elizabethtown, Ky. and David Thompson of Elizabethtown, Ky.; 12 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel Saturday, March 4, 2017, at 10:00am with Bro. Ben Simpson officiating.
Burial will be in the St John Catholic Cemetery in Elizabethtown, Ky.
