Lyla Fausz

Lyla M. Fausz 84, died on Monday, August 8, 2011,  in Tucson, Az. where she resided with her daughter and son-in- law Larry and Holly Brown for 3 1/2 years.

Lyla was resident of Lake Havasu City, Arizona for over 40 yrs. Best know by many Lake Havasu residents as ” the Chili lady” for her work organizing the successful Lake Havasu Chili Cook Off which gave money to many LHC organizations. Her other hobbies included reading, crossword puzzles, collecting cookbooks and loving her dog Laci.
She is survived by her daughters Verna Wilson of New Buffalo,Mi. , Marrianne (Randy)Cartright of Santa Anna, Ca., Carol (David) Deweese of Morgantown, Ky, Susan McIntosh of Phoenix, Az., Holly (Larry)Brown of Tucson, Az., 9 grandchildren including David Lee and Matthew Deweese of Morgantown ,Ky., and 13 great grandchildren which includes Cody Deweese of Morgantown, KY. She was proceeded in death by her husband James Fausz and son James McIntosh
She will have a private service in Lake Havasu City in November.
Vistoso Funeral Home in Tucson, AZ, was in charge of arrangements.
