Lucille Davis Fredrick

Lucille Davis Fredrick, 76, of Owensboro, passed away in the comfort of Hospice of Southern Kentucky on Tuesday, November 22, 2011 after a courageous seven month battle with kidney failure.


She was born in Butler County to the late Otto and Luella ''Leisure'' Davis.                  


Lucille lived in Stanley, Kentucky for 28 years before moving to Morgantown, Kentucky and resided there for 29 years. She worked for the Daviess County School System for many years. After moving to Morgantown Lucille spent 20 years working at Lakeview Nursing Home. Upon retiring from the nursing home she became a private sitter.


Lucille enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She loved gardening, canning, her flowers, bird watching, travel and going to the Boogie Barn to dance to music played by her cousins.  Lucille was also an avid bargain hunter and found many at yard sales and flea markets.
She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt and a friend to many.


She was preceded in death by her parents and a great great grandson, Keyston.


Lucille is survived by her husband of 60 years, William Daniel Fredrick; children, Helen Hardesty (Michael) of Owensboro, Randy Fredrick (Marla) of Bloomington, IN, Dennis Fredrick, Jimmy Fredrick both of Morgantown, Cindy Cardwell (Charles) of Bowling Green and Karen Miller (Eddie) of Morgantown; grandchildren, Kimberly, Michael, Stacy, Rachel, Adria, Tiffany and Buddy; great grandchildren, Kayle, Bailee, Bryce, Riley, Ryan, Ryder, Brianna, Hanna, Zach, Mikie and Haley; great great grandchildren, Rebekah and  the  adopted ''Katie Bug''; brothers, Robert and Ray Davis and  sisters, Martyne Raymond and Jean Sutton.


The funeral will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, November 25, 2011 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Rev. Jeremy Brooks will officiate and burial will be at Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be on Wednesday, November 23 from 3:00 pm until 6:00 pm and on Friday from 11:00 am until service time at the funeral home.

I loved working with Lucille whenever I did therapy at MC&R she was so kind to everyone. She was a wonderful, caring person who always had a smile for everyone she met. She loved her children and was an exceptional person. So sorry for her family's loss.
