 Lossie Erdean Ward, age 93 of Morgantown, KY, passed away peacefully on Tuesday,  June 10, 2025, at Morgantown Care & Rehab. Born on Monday,  February 1, 1932, in Butler County, Kentucky, Lossie's life was a testament to her passionate spirit and unwavering dedication to her family.

Erdean was the cherished daughter of the late Thorton and Dixie Kemp Pendley. She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joyce C. Ward, and her dear siblings, Marcie Stover and Mildred Smith. Her memory will be forever honored and preserved by her surviving sister, Clarise Roberts of Bowling Green, KY, and several devoted nieces and nephews.

A proud mother, Erdean's legacy continues through her three children: Linda Dean Shaw of Lorain, Ohio, Brenda White (Bruce) of Morgantown, KY, and Randal Ward (Darlene) of Morgantown, KY. Her love blossomed further into the lives of her eight grandchildren: Steven Hampton, Tammy Chandler (Robert), Derek White, Bruce "Babe" White Jr. (Tonya), Manda Casey (Edward), Sterling White (Robbie), Randal Aaron Ward (Loren), and Daniel Ward (Meredith). The joy of her life multiplied with the arrival of 18 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren, each of whom brought her immeasurable happiness.

Throughout her life, Erdean was a dedicated worker. She was a valued employee at Emmerson Electric in Russellville, KY, General Electric in Owensboro, KY, The Kellwood Company, and served her community as a Nurse's Aid at Lakeview Nursing Home in Morgantown, KY. Her work ethic and commitment to helping others were hallmarks of her character.

She was of the Baptist faith, Erdean's spiritual beliefs guided her through life's challenges and triumphs. Erdean's interests reflected her love for the simple pleasures in life. She found joy in working in her yard, tending to her beautiful flowers, and cherishing every moment spent with her family. 

Funeral services will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel Friday, June 13, 2025 at 1:00 pm with Bro. Danny Mooneyhan officiating. Burial will be in the Cool Springs Church Cemetery where Derek, Bruce, Jr "Babe" and Sterling White, Randal Aaron Ward, Daniel Ward and Chandler White. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 12, 2025 from 5:00pm - 8:00pm and Friday 8:00am until funeral time at 1:00pm at the Jones Funeral Chapel.
