Lonnie Felty

Lonnie Felty, 90, of Beaver Dam, passed away, Thursday, May 24, 2012 at Ohio County Hospital in Hartford. He was born August 31, 1921 in Ohio County to the late Lum and Nora Whitaker Felty. He was a farmer and a member of New Harmony Baptist Church in Butler County., where he served as a deacon.
Beside his parents he was preceded in death by three sisters and five brothers.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Clarice L. Ferguson Felty of Beaver Dam, three daughters, Joyce A. Taylor of Bowling Green, Kay Sapp of Bowling Green, and Teresa (Bobby) Barrow of Quality. He was blessed with six grandchildren, Kara Taylor of Bowling Green, Rebecca Johnson of Beaver Dam, Alyssa (John) O’Driscoll of Randolph, MA, Ashton Barrow of Bowling Green, Brett Barrow and Bethany Barrow both of Quality, and two great grandchildren, Kylie Johnson and Avery Johnson both of Beaver Dam.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, May 27, 2012 at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam. Burial will be in Sunnyside Cemetery in Beaver Dam. Visitation will be from 5-8PM, Saturday and 12 PM until time of service Sunday at the funeral home.

Expression of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Hospice of Ohio County or American Heart Association. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

I remember Mr. Lonnie well from waiting on him at the Feed Mill. He was such a kind man. He will be greatly missed.
