Lindon C. Embry, 80 of Morgantown, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, December 23, 2012 at his residence. Lindon was born May 28, 1932 in Butler County, Kentucky to the late Wiley F. Embry and Nancy Crane Embry Brown. He was a member of Chapel Union Missionary Baptist Church, retired die setter for Cissell Manufacture for 28 years and United States Army Veteran. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers James Embry and Wiley Embry Jr. and 2 sisters Theo Embry and Betty Lou Embry.
Lindon C. Embry is survived by his wife Donna Embry of Morgantown, Ky.; 2 sons Tony Stivers (Melinda) of Shepherdsville, Ky. and Donnie Davis (Kelley) of Louisville, Ky.; 3 sisters Marcell Blyth (Virgil) of Rockport, Indiana, Rebecca Blyth (Ernie) of Rockport Indiana and Libby Woosley of Louisville, Ky.; 5 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at the Chapel Union Missionary Baptist Church Friday, December 28, 2012 at 11:00am with Bro. Gary Embry and Bro. Greg Fields officiating. Burial will be in the Chapel Union Cemetery where military rights will be conducted by AM VETS POST 117. Visitation will be held on Thursday, Decemeber 27, 2012, from 10:00am - 8:00pm at the Jones Funeral Chapel and Friday visitation from 9:00am until funeral time at 11:00am at Chapel Union Missionary Baptist Church.
