Lindon C. Daugherty, 88 of Brandenburg, KY formerly of Morgantown, KY passed away Thursday, September 12, 2019 at the Brandenburg Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. Lindon was born October 2, 1930 in Butler County, KY to the late Roma F. and Buena Embry Daugherty and husband of the late Melvolia Blanch Hunt Daugherty. He was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church and Happiness Way Baptist Church in Louisville, KY. He loved gospel music and was the founder of the Canaan Land Quartet & the By Standers. Other than his parents and wife he is preceded in death by three children Lindon C. Daugherty Jr., Melia Cochran and Phillip Daugherty and several brothers and sisters.

Lindon C. Daugherty is survived by two children Jeff W. Daugherty (Glenda) of Battletown, KY and Angela Wise (Roger) of Hillview, KY; three granddaughters Erica Solis of Jeffersonville, Indiana, Brittany Romero of Clarksville, Indian and Miranda Wise of Jeffersonville, Indiana; 6 great grandchildren; one brother Morris D. Daugherty (Jane) of Beaver Dam, KY; one sister Evanell Walker of Mt Juliet, TN; sweet heart Effie Hunt of Gilstrap, KY and special friend David Smith (RuthAnn) of Brandenburg, KY.

Funeral services will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel Monday,September 16, 2019 at 1:00pm with Bro. John Daugherty officiating. Burial will be held in the Belmont Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday,September 16, 2019 from 10:30am until funeral time at 1:00pm at the Jones Funeral Chapel.
