Lincoln Winston Phelps

Lincoln Winston Phelps, 86, of Morgantown, Ky. passed way on Sunday, Jan. 6, 2019 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green Ky.  He was born in Butler Co., Ky. on June 17, 1932 to the late Walter and Bonnie Johnson Phelps.  He retired from the United States Army, where he served during the Korean and Vietnam Wars.  He was a very proud veteran.  Lincoln is preceded in death by his parents; wife Emileen Phelps; son Duncan Phelps; seven brothers; two sisters and one grandson Andrew Phelps.

 

He is survived by his companion Mary Givens of Morgantown; two sons Douglas Phelps (Donna) of Louisville, Ky., Steven Phelps (Patty) of Bowling Green, Ky.; two daughters Sharon Perkins (Bill) of Louisville, Ky., Sherrie Snow of Louisville, Ky.; 8 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; brother David Phelps (Barbara) of Louisville, Ky. and several nieces and nephews.

 

Funeral Service will be held at 1pm on Tuesday, Jan. 8 at Smith Funeral Home with Bro. Pete Phelps officiating.  Burial will follow in the Jimmy Smith Cemetery where Military Honors will be presented by the Ohio Co. Honor Guard.  Visitation will be on Tuesday, Jan. 8 from 10am until time of service at Smith Funeral Home.
