Lenis E. Gidcumb

Lenis E. Gidcumb, 81, of  Morgantown,  passed away Sunday, December 27, 2015 at his residence.  He was born in Dunbar, Ky. on April 11, 1934 to the late Roy and Eula Kemp Gidcumb.   He was a carpenter and  a member of Sandy Creek Baptist Church.  He loved playing pool, buying, selling and trading and spending time with his family.  He never met a stranger.  Other than his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Estel and Lonnie Gidcumb and one sister Dorthy Gidcumb.

Mr. Gidcumb is survived by his wife of 60 yrs. Nancy Gidcumb of Morgantown; daughter, Linda Gidcumb and husband Chris of Hartford; son, Ronnie Gidcumb and wife Irina of Morgantown; four grandsons, Jason Graham and wife Dwan, Kyle Graham and wife Leeah, Kellen Gidcumb and wife Erica and Lance Gidcumb and wife Courtney; two step grandchildren, Efraim and Sergio Rada; 11 great grandchildren; sisters, Marlene Tyree, Hazel Miller, Ovie Coots, Edna Minton, Cassie McKinney, Pearl Kitchens and Patty Leach and brother, Ellis Gidcumb; several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held at Smith Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at 12pm with his grandson, Jason Graham, elder of Living Hope Baptist Church officiating.  Burial will follow in Hill Haven Memory Garden. Visitation will be Tuesday, December 29 from 4 pm-8 pm and Wednesday 8am until time of service at Smith Funeral Home, Morgantown, Ky.
