Lawrence "Larry" Everett Hope, age 85, of Morgantown, Ky. passed away on Monday, Jan. 31, 2022 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, Ky.  He was born in Butler Co., Ky. on August 1, 1936 to the late Daniel Everett and Blissie Mae Rone Hope.  Larry was a US Airforce Veteran and an Officer and Commander in the American Legion. He loved to solve cross word puzzles, play cards and picking up cars for Coleman Bros.  Larry volunteered at the Catfish Festival at the terrapin race.  You never saw him without a diet mountain dew in his hand.   He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers David Hope and Bobby Nation; sister Lola Hope. 

Larry is survived by two sisters Patricia Cox of Huntsville, Al. and Myrna Deweese of Louisville, Ky.; two brothers Jerry and Paul Hope both of Morgantown and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, Feb. 5, 2022 at 2pm at Smith Funeral Home with Bro. David Youngblood officiating.  Burial will be held in the Dan Johnson Cemetery.  Visitation will be held on Friday, Feb. 4 from 4pm-8pm and Saturday from 10am until time of service at Smith Funeral Home.
