Lavenia Kinkade Meredith, 95 of Morgantown, Ky., passed away Friday, January 6, 2017, at the Morgantown Care & Rehab. Lavenia was born on Sunday, January 1, 1922, in Butler County Kentucky to the late Preston and Lura Belle Kirby Kinkade and wife of the late Arthur E. Meredith. She was a member of Cool Springs General Baptist Church, retired CMA from Morgantown Care & Rehab. Other than her parents and husband she is preceded in death by two sons Larry Edwin Meredith and Daniel Ross Meredith and three sisters Marie Burke, Berthalene Hampton and Mildred Miller.
Lavenia Kinkade Meredith is survived by one son Arthur Hidred Meredith (Byra) of Morgantown, Ky.; three daughters Beverly Jean Lee (Chester) of Morgantown, Ky., Sharon Nash (Sharone) of Bowling Green, Ky. and Lecia Wilson (Bill) of Hartford, Ky.; one sister Erdine Meredith of Morgantown, Ky.; 10 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel Tuesday, January 10, 2017, at 1:00 pm with Bro. Chris Vaught, Bro. Jeremy Brooks and Bro. Gary Embry officiating.
Burial will be in the Cool Springs Cemetery.
