Laura Leta (Dockery) Lindsey

Laura Leta (Dockery) Lindsey, 84, of Caneyville, passed away Thursday, April 19th, 2018 at the Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center. 

She was born on Sunday, May 14th, 1933 in Butler County, the daughter of the late Aaron and Pearl (Swift) Dockery. Laura was a member of the Caneyville Baptist Church. She loved to quilt and cook for her family and friends.

Laura is survived by her two sons, George Lindsey (Deanna) and Jordan Lindsey (Stacy) both of Houston, TX; five daughters, Pat Mudd (Donald) of Caneyville, Kathy Lindsey, Cheri Lindsey both of Morgantown, Sheila Mashburn (Sam), Charlotte Crume (Mark) both of Caneyville; twenty-six grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, W.L. Lindsey, two sons, Brad Lindsey and Freddie Lindsey; one daughter, Sylvia Boyette and three grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Monday, April 23rd at 1:00 pm at the Dermitt-Joyce Funeral Home in Caneyville. Bro Bob Sutton will be officiating. Burial will be in the Smith Family Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Dermitt-Joyce Funeral Home in Caneyville Sunday after 3:00 pm and Monday from 9:00 am until time of service.
