Laura Jo “Neighbors” Lawrence, age 83, of Morgantown, Ky. passed away on Wednesday, May 24, 2023 at the Hospice House of Southern Kentucky. She was born in Butler Co., Ky. on February 18, 1940 to the late Frank and Georgia Harrod Neighbors. She was a member of Woodbury Baptist Church and a retired postmaster in Woodbury.  She loved to quilt, sew, read, watch westerns and solve puzzles.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Bill Lawrence and brother Jerry Neighbors.

Laura is survived by her children  Robin Duckett (Todd) of Bowling Green, Frank Lawrence (Denita) of  Morgantown and Derek Lawrence (Andrea) of Morgantown; grandchildren Nathaniel Bratcher (Kelly) of Caneyville, Hannah Willoughby (Nick) of  Morgantown,  Conor Lawrence and Aidan Lawrence both of Bowling Green; great-grandchildren  Garrett, Mason, Liam, Aria, Lincoln, Audra, Layne, Gracie and Coda; grand-dog Ellie Mae; brother Harold Neighbors (Joan) of  Bowling Green; sisters-in-law Rita Neighbors of Glasgow, Frances Roskilly of Fairbury, Ne., Mary Lou Johnson of Bowling Green and Jane Whitaker of Bowling Green; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held at 2pm Sunday, May 28, 2023 at Smith Funeral Home with Bro. Murl Gray officiating.  Burial will follow in the Cook Cemetery.  Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 27 from 4pm until 8pm and Sunday from 10am until 2pm at Smith Funeral Home.
