Larry Shelburn Mudd

Larry Shelburn Mudd, age 69, of Leitchfield, KY, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, (January 25, 2016) at his home.

He was born on November 27, 1946 in Louisville, KY, the son of the late Lester and Bertha Mae Richardson Mudd.

He was a retired piano tuner and technician; and he worked for Brown and Williamson Tobacco Company for 23 years. Larry’s music was his life; he founded and retired the Veterans Quartet. He had attended the Providence Baptist Church at Brooks, KY, and was a current member of the Liberty Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Janice Woodcock Mudd, one son, Mark Mudd (Rebecca) of Monford, KY, a daughter, April Cox (Doug) of Caneyville, KY, four grandchildren, Jacob Mudd, Allison, Logan and Nathan Cox, two sisters, Carolyn Stewart (Hardin) of Caneyville and Thelma McGhee (Mike) of Florida and several nieces and nephews.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey Allen Mudd and a brother, Terry Mudd.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, (January 31, 2016) at the Dermitt Funeral Home. Bro. Gary Embry and Bro. Kenneth Richardson will be officiating.

Burial will be in the Woodcock (Welchs Creek) Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and from 8:00 a.m. Sunday until time of services.
