Larry Michael Havener Sr.

Larry Michael Havener Sr. 72 of Owensboro, Kentucky went home to be with Lord Friday, November 6, 2020 at Ohio County Hospital in Hartford, KY. He was born October 6, 1948 in Owensboro, Ky to the late Ed Havener and Virginia White Frakes and husband of the late Trilby "Nadine" Daugherty Havener. Larry was a mechanic for Frakes Transmission for many years and loved spending time at KY Lake with his family. He enjoyed fishing, painting and riding horses. Other than his parents and wife he is preceded in death by one brother Terry Jones; step dad Robert Frakes and great grandson Isaiah West. 
 
Larry Michael Havener Sr. is survived by his five children Mike Havener (Karen), Tammy Boling (Roger), Shane Havener (Cindy Franzman), Robbie Havener (Shannon) and Chanda Shock (Dallas); twelve grandchildren Rex Havener, Colton Havener (Brittany), Brayden and Lauren Havener, Mika Dant (Chase), Ashley West (Josh), Kaleigh and Christopher Gillipse, Corey (Emalee) and Landon Havener, Tanner and Alex Shock; eleven great grandchildren; eight siblings Lloyd Havener, Ann Roberts (David), Ronnie Nelson (Elaine), Bonnie Roberts, Connie Geary (DeeDee), Gary Jones (Yolanda), David Jones and Bobbie Frakes (Rose)  and several nieces and nephews. 
 
Funeral services will be held at the Mt Carmel Baptist Church 607 Buford Rd. Utica, KY 42376 Tuesday November 10, 2020 at 6:00pm with Bro. Chris Taylor officiating. Visitation will be held on Tuesday  from 11:00am until funeral time at 6:00pm at the Mt Carmel Baptist Church. In compliance with the health and public safety directives, face coverings are required, maintain six feet apart, and capacity will be limited to 50% in accordance with state guidelines. Prayers are appreciated if you are sick or have been exposed to COVID-19 and cannot attend. The family wishes to thank Twin Rivers Nursing Homes and Ohio County Hospice for their tender care and Susan Daniels, APRN for her thoughtful services. Arrangements are under the direction of the Jones Funeral Chapel.
