After finally winning her heart the two married on October 8, 1966. Beginning this day their lives was full of happiness, adventures and love. As their love song "In the Misty Moonlight" says any place is alright, long as I am with you, is the way they lived their life.

Larry worked at Brown and Williamson so they moved to Louisville. There they were blessed with a son Larry Scott Burden born December 31, 1968. They continued to live there until Larry begin working in construction/drywall. They moved back to Butler County where their daughter Gina Leann Burden Pendley was born March 11, 1971. Larry's job had him working in different places so they moved to Owensboro, KY and then to Dale, Indiana. He changed jobs and became a millwright where they moved back to Butler County and stayed. After working several years as a millwright Larry began working at Hills Pet Nutrition in Bowling Green, KY as a maintenance worker and worked there until his retirement.

Throughout his life he enjoyed many things. In his younger years he loved playing pool, which he became very good at. He picked up playing golf years later and enjoyed playing with his many friends but especially his son Scott. Larry enjoyed traveling, loved the ocean and took his family on many trips there. His favorite place was the Outer Banks in North Carolina. The family would vacation there once a year with many families and friends tagging along. They would rent a beach house together where lots of precious memories were made. They traveled out west, up North to Niagra Falls, and even took a month long vacation to Alaska with friends. Larry loved auctions and would go anytime he could. He enjoyed going with his brother Barry or would ask one of his grandchildren to go with him or sometimes do both. Larry loved his family, he would do anything to help them anyway he could, especially his children and grandchildren.
