Larry Daniel Webster

Larry Daniel Webster, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 3, 2024, at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, KY. Born on September 5, 1944, in Butler County, KY, Larry's life was a testament to his loving nature, friendly demeanor, and unwavering faith.

Preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Evelyn Roach Webster, his siblings Margie Watson, Mary Lou Gill, and Paul Webster, and his nephew Rodney Webster, Larry's legacy of love and kindness lives on through his family. He is survived by his devoted wife of 61 years, Betty Proctor Webster of Woodbury, KY; his daughters, Tammy Webster Phelps (Harry) of Morgantown, KY, and Sandy Webster Buchanan (Buck) of Florida; his grandchildren, Bethany Phelps Gonzalez (Eli) of Morgantown, KY, Nate Phelps (Kristen) of Sandusky, Ohio, Jolie Phelps of Morgantown, KY, and Sydney Buchanan of Florida; and his great-grandchildren, Julien Gonzalez, Evageline Gonzalez of Morgantown, KY, and Bryce Parsons of Sandusky, Ohio. Larry also leaves behind several nieces and nephews who will miss his presence dearly.

Larry was a dedicated member of the Huntsville Missionary Baptist Church, where he served with joy and commitment. He could often be found behind the wheel of the church van, a role he fulfilled for many years. His work history was marked by over two decades of service at Dunbar Coal Company and six and a half years with the Butler County Road Department. Despite battling heart disease for 38 years, Larry's resilience and determination never wavered, and he continued to live his life with vigor and purpose. An avid outdoorsman, Larry found solace and joy in hunting, fishing, gardening and simply being in nature. Larry's commitment to his faith was evident in his tireless work for the church. Above all, Larry's heart belonged to his family. He cherished every moment spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, imparting wisdom, laughter, and an abundance of love.

Funeral services will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel Monday, October 7, 2024 at 1:00pm with Bro. Shane Garrett officiating. Burial will be in the Webster Cemetery where his family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be held on Monday, October 7, 2024 from 9:30 am until funeral time at 1:00pm at the Jones Funeral Chapel.
