Kim Bryant Tipton, a beacon of love and kindness, passed away on Saturday, August 3, 2024, at Hospice of Southern Kentucky in Bowling Green, KY. Born on Friday, April 26, 1968, in Louisville, KY, she was a cherished soul who brought joy and friendship to all who knew her. 

 

Kim spent her life in the warm embrace of Morgantown, KY, where she was a beloved wife to Lonnie Tipton Jr., with whom she shared thirty years of marriage. She was a nurturing mother to Dillon Bryant and Lorna Tipton (Christian Harden) both of Morgantown, KY, and a caring stepmother to Luther Tipton (Whitney) of Bowling Green, KY. Her family was the center of her world, including her precious step-grandchild Vidalia Tipton of Bowling Green, KY and the excitement of a new baby on the way. She was the treasured daughter of Collins Bryant and Jeraldine Taylor Bryant both of Morgantown, KY and a supportive sister to Shelia Bryant of Morgantown, KY and Kenneth Bryant (Judy) of Lewisburg, KY. Her life was enriched by the love of several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, and her special pet, Minnie.

Kim's early years were shaped by the love and guidance of her parents and her late grandparents, who instilled in her the values of compassion and friendship. She is also preceded in death by one special friend Stanley Evans.  Professionally, Kim dedicated many years as a sales clerk, where her friendly demeanor and genuine care for others were evident. She was a member of Barnetts Lick Missionary Baptist Church, where she found strength and fellowship.

 

Kim's interests were a mirror of her loving nature. She found immense joy in taking care of lambs, a testament to her nurturing spirit. The beach was her haven, above all, Kim cherished the time spent with her family, creating memories that would become their legacy of love.

 

Funeral services will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel Wednesday, August 7, 2024 at 2:00pm with Bro. Gene Garner and Bro. Mike Allen officiating. Burial will be in the Barnetts Lick Cemetery where Terry Hunt, Tim Flener, Brian McKinney, Chris Phelps, Steve Evans and Jerry Smith will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 6, 2024 from 4:00pm - 8:00pm and Wednesday from 8:00am until funeral time at 2:00pm at the Jones Funeral Chapel.
