Kenneth & Dorothy Neafus

Kenneth Ray Neafus, age 71 and Dorothy Lee Hockman Neafus, age 70 of Morgantown, KY died Monday, August 8, 2016 at their residence.
Kenneth was born in Breckinridge County, KY on September 21, 1944, the son of the late Jess and Gertrude Sosh Neafus. Kenneth was a minister and served many churches and most recently retired from Little Muddy Cumberland Presbyterian where he served for over 30 years. He was a former member of the Hardinsburg Masonic Lodge, retired from International Harvestor, enjoyed farming and working on lawnmowers. He loved his family and they loved him and his animals came in a close second to them.
Dorothy was born in Meade County, KY on July 28, 1946, the daughter of the late Curtis and Leona Sutherland Hockman. She retired from the Kroger Company, was a former member of Eastern Star and Breckinridge County Homemakers. After her retirement, she worked part time for Morgantown Bank and Trust. She enjoyed quilting and cooking. During her husband's 30 years of service to Little Muddy Cumberland Presbyterian Church, she was a very gracious minister's wife, hosting many gatherings and meals for the congregation. She was also a CPW member.
In addition to their parents, they were preceded in death by their daughter Rhonda Armes.
He was preceded by 2 sisters Dorothy Macy and Ida Simmons and she was preceded by her brother Billy Hockman.
They are survived by 2 children: Penny Sterchi (Don) of Bowling Green, KY and Scott Neafus (Sandy) of Munfordville, KY
7 grandchildren: Amber Adair (Jay), Justin Armes (Vanessa), Nathan Armes, Matthew Neafus (Kacie), Katelyn Neafus, Austin Sterchi and Megan Sterchi
5 great grandchildren:Annetta and Mackenzie Adair, Kenley and Kolton Armes, Madison Neafus
Kenneth is survived by his sister Betty Bruington of Harned, KY
Dorothy is survived by her sisters:

Margie Dean of Horse Cave, KY

Rita Daniels of Columbia, SC
Aleena Everton of Hardinsburg, KY
Pearl Kemp of Marengo, IN
Susie Purcell of Corydon, IN
Many nieces and nephews also survive
Funeral services will be held at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home on Friday, August 12, 2016 at 1 PM with Rev. Billy Macy officiating. Burial will be in the Freedom Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10 AM on Friday.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Hardinsburg Masonic Lodge.
