KC Givens, age 63, of Alvaton,Ky., passed away Friday, December 23, 2011 at his residence surrounded by his family.

He was a Butler County native, the son of the late JC and Ola Belilies Givens, retired truck driver, plant supervisor at Bluegrass Speciality Flooring, and a delivery driver for Klostermans Bakery. KC's passion was to work outside on the farm. He was loved and respected by all  he touched in his life and will be greatly missed by all. 

Preceeded in death by one daughter Penny McKinney, three brothers Watson, Harlan, and Thomas Givens and one sister Avel Mae Carroll. KC Givens is survived by his wife Marilynn Wilson Givens of Alvaton, Ky., two daughters Kay Hampton and spouse Ricky of Auburn, Ky., and Bethany Prewitt of Alvaton, Ky.; two sons Glen and Vincent Prewitt of Alvaton, Ky., granddaughter Robin Odell of Morgantown, Ky., two grandsons Phillip Odell of Wayne City, Il., and J.R. McKinney of Morgantown, Ky., three great grandsons Walker, Lucas, and Clinton, two sisters Mavis Caudill of Morgantown, Ky., and Ellen Long and spouse Darrell of Bowling Green, Ky., one brother Ronald Dale Givens of Morgantown, Ky., and several neices and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 27, 2011 with Bro. Kelvin Copas officiating. Burial will be in the Union Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, December 26, 2011 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at the Jones Funeral Chapel and Tuesday 8:00am till funeral time at 2:00 p.m. at the Jones Funeral Chapel.
