Kathleen C. Woodcock Gibb, 79, of Owensboro, Kentucky,  formerly of Morgantown, KY,  passed away on June 21, 2026, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. She was born on September 12, 1946, in the Neafus Community of Butler County, Kentucky, and lived a life marked by kindness, devotion, and quiet strength. 

Kathleen was preceded in death by her parents, Noble and Aline Embry Cockerell; her husbands, Joffrey Woodcock and Kenneth Gibb; her two sons, Christopher Shain Woodcock and Jeffery Wayne Woodcock; and her siblings, Diane Cockerell, Connie Hunt, Vonnell Hillard, and Charles Cockerell. 

She is survived by her daughter, Ashley Sublett and her fiancé, Christopher Yates, of Navarre, Florida; her grandson, Clay Austin Sublett of Navarre, Florida; and her siblings, Jewelene Towery and John of Owensboro, Kentucky, Floyd Cockerell and Connie of Owensboro, Kentucky, Alice Simmons and Steve of Owensboro, Kentucky, Max Cockerell and Sharon of Owensboro, Kentucky, David Cockerell of Owensboro, Kentucky, Jerry Cockerell and Christie of Morgantown, Kentucky, and Ronnie Cockerell of Owensboro, Kentucky and  several nieces and nephews.

Kathleen retired as a Medical Records Clerk from Morgantown Care and Rehab, where she was respected for her dedication, dependability, and caring spirit. Her work reflected the same thoughtful nature that she brought to every part of her life. She was also a member of Chapel Union Missionary Baptist Church. In her free time, Kathleen found joy in bird watching, gardening, listening to gospel music, and watching UK Basketball. Above all, she treasured time spent with her family, especially her grandson, who brought her great happiness and pride. 

Funeral services will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel Thursday, June 25, 2026 at 1:00pm with Bro. Jacob Mudd officiating. Burial will be in the Woodcock Cemetery where her family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 25, 2026 from 10:00am until funeral time at 1:00pm at the Jones Funeral Chapel.
