Karon Kay Booth

Karon Kay Booth, 74, of Bowling Green passed away July 15, 2024 at her home. The Butler County native was a Butler County High School history teacher, a teacher at Green River Boys Camp in Cromwell, a member of the Kentucky Retired Teachers Association, a published author of an historical fiction book, “Cover Fire”, enjoyed crafting, and was a member of Locust Grove Church of Christ in Franklin after spending most of her life as a member of Bethlehem Church of Christ. She was a daughter of the late Rodney Ross Gary and Kate Edith Ellis Gary. She was preceded in death by a sister, Sharon Gary.

 

 

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday at Gravil Funeral Home with burial to follow in Big Reedy Cemetery. Visitation will take place 1-7 PM Friday and after 10:00 AM Saturday. 

 

Surviving are her husband, James Michael “Jim” Booth; a daughter Jamie Kay Booth of Chattanooga, TN; a sister, Barbara Canter (Tom) of Roundhill; a sister-in-law, Sharon Booth of Caneyville; three cousins, Sheila McNary, Kathy Petri and Alan Woosley; a niece, Christy Basham; a nephew, Timmy Basham; and several great and great great nieces and nephews.
